October 21, 2020 - Perichoresis: Oneness in Christ

Perichoresis

Genuine acceptance removes fear and hiding and creates freedom to know and be known. In this freedom arises a fellowship and sharing so honest and open and real that persons involved dwell in one another. There is union without loss of individual identity. When one weeps, the other tastes salt. It is only in the Triune relationship of Father, Son, and Spirit that a personal relationship of this order exists, and the early church used the word ‘perichoresis’ to describe it. The good news is that we have been included in this relationship. And it is to be played out fully in each of us and in all creation.

Perichoresis is a concept worth exploring and meditating upon. Give it some thought. Our oneness in Christ is real. Our identity in Christ is real. Remember, it is a relationship and not religion that will ensure that you grow in your recovery/spiritual life.

  • Ephesians 4:13 (TPT): These grace ministries will function until we all attain oneness in the faith until we all experience the fullness of what it means to know the Son of God, and finally, we become one perfect man with the full dimensions of spiritual maturity and fully developed in the abundance of Christ.

  • Ephesians 4:13 (Mirror): The purpose of these ministry gifts is to present everyone on par and in oneness of faith, believing exactly what the Son of God believes and knowing accurately what he knows concerning us. Standing face-to-face in equal stature to the measure of the completeness of Christ.

Move into the fullness of what it means to know Jesus. Become spiritually mature.

Enough said.

Blessings All Around,
