LMA Principle #7 - Violently Break the Pattern

Sometimes replacement activities, sponsorship, mentoring, or counseling don’t seem to work. That’s when we have to take radical action. We have to be willing to pay the price—to crucify the self and put on the new man/woman.

• Matthew 11:12 (NKJV): “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force.”

• Philippians 2: 13 (NKJV): “For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”

• Philippians 2:13 (Mirror Bible): Discover God himself as your inexhaustible inner source; He ignites you with both the desire and energy that matches His own delight!

• 1 Timothy 6:12 (NKJV): “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life.”

Take radical action. Learn to use the radical Grace of God, which is Jesus Christ, our Lord. Stop focusing on what you shouldn’t do and look to what you need to do. This is a radical change from the norm. Try it.

• Romans 6:18 (TPT): And now you celebrate your freedom from your former master—sin. You’ve left its bondage, and now God’s perfect righteousness holds power over you as his loving servants.

• Romans 6:18 (Mirror Bible): Sin once called the shots; now righteousness rules.

Celebrate your freedom from your past behaviors (addictions, whatever) and step into a new life in Jesus.
