LMA Principle #4 - Reach Out to the Body for Help.
In many ways, this is why Jesus built the Church: to be the ultimate support group. And in many instances, it is, but self-righteousness and legalist attitudes hinder the proper attitude required to be a mentor/sponsor. Seek others in the Body that accept and forgive and have similar problems (i.e., addictions and compulsions).
Principle 4 speaks about the Body of Christ, serving as the ultimate support group. Pointing out that legalism in the Body tends to hurt more than help. Seek out those that can relate to your issues, and you can learn from one another in Jesus as we are supposed to do. Our oneness helps us heal together.
James 5:16 (TPT): Confess and acknowledge how you have offended one another and then pray for one another to be instantly healed, for tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayer of a godly believer!
James 5:16 (Mirror Bible): (Do not tolerate vibes) if you have wronged someone talk to him about it; pray for each other to maintain a healthy fellowship. Righteousness is the fuel of effective prayer. (How right things are, not how wrong things are now motivate your every prayer and conversation! Not the size or the detail of the problem.)
Share with one another to experience true healing of the spirit.
Enough said.
Blessings All Around,
