LMA Victims vs. Victors Statement #8
Victims look for excuses not to even make an attempt - Victors look for ways to get it done.
Victims tend to look for excuses to avoid the possibility of being disappointed as the result of making an attempt to achieve goals that may be deemed impossible by unbelievers. Victors look for ways to avoid making excuses and explore ways to achieve their recovery/spiritual goals.
Philippians 3:14 (TPT): I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.
Philippians 3:14 (Mirror Bible): I have the prize of mankind’s redeemed innocence in full view; just like a champion athlete in the public games, I refuse to be distracted by anything else. God has invited us in Christ to lift up our eyes and realize our identity in him.
Part of our heavenly goal is to be successful in this life. Stop making excuses and look for ways to achieve your goals.
Enough said.
