LMA Principles #4 Reach Out to the Body for Help. In many ways this is why Jesus built the Church: to be the ultimate support group. In many instances it is; but 'self-righteousness and legalist attitudes'hinder the 'proper attitude' required to be a 'mentor/sponsor'. Seek others in the ‘Body’ that are'accepting and forgiving' and have similarproblems…….. (ie addictions and compulsions). As you walk out your Recovery/Spiritual journey; choose your companions wisely…. Look for those that have been through and are overcoming similar ‘issues’ as you….. DO NOT listen to condemning, judgmental people that make you ‘feel’ less than…… Look for those that are encouraging and non-judgmental; choose a Grace filled Body of believers and rest assured you will ‘heal’…….as you ‘heal’….you will become a ‘healer’ …. Luke 21:36 (TPT) Keep a constant watch over your soul, and pray for the courage and grace to prevail over these things that are destined to occur and that you will stand before the presence of the Son of Man with a clear conscience.” With grace and courage….you will prevail…… Enough said…..
