December 25, 2020 - LMA Devotional: Serenity Prayer
LMA - The Serenity Prayer (Long Version)
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change Courage to change the things I can
And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time
Enjoying one moment at a time
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it
Trusting that He will make all things right If I surrender to His will
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him Forever and ever in the next.
Amen
As you walk out your recovery/spiritual life on this Friday, Christmas Day 2020. Remember the words of the Serenity Prayer (Long Version). Take it’s words to heart and live this day in peace, filled with hope for the future……clean and sober.
John 16:33 (TPT): And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world, you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”
John 16:33 (Mirror Bible): I have spoken these things to you that in me you will know the sweet and assured resonance of my peace! In the world, you encounter extreme and stressful times but be of good courage, I have conquered the world-order!”
The peace of Jesus is in you…..experience it to the fullest.
Enough said.
Blessings All Around,
