December 21, 2020 - LMA Seven Principles: Principle #4

LMA Principle #4 - Reach Out to the Body for Help.

In many ways, this is why Jesus built the Church: to be the ultimate support group. It is in many instances, but 'self-righteousness and legalist attitudes' hinder the 'proper attitude' required to be a mentor/sponsor. Seek others in the body who accept and forgive and have similar problems (i.e., addictions and compulsions).

Principle 4 explains how the church/congregation of God is our ultimate support group. Look for folks that are not legalistic or judgmental but are loving and caring—those who can relate to you and your life's journey. Reach out for help. Be a helper. Experience the circle as it grows.

  • Hebrews 2:12 (TPT): For he has said, "I will reveal who you really are to my brothers and sisters, and I will glorify you with praises in the midst of the congregation."

  • Hebrews 2:12 (Mirror Bible): He says, "I will reveal your name to my brothers as being their own; this will fuel my praise in the Ekklesia, where I will celebrate God in song." (This reminds me of the emotional moment when Joseph revealed himself to his brothers. [Gen 45:1, Ps 22:22] In Hebrew: "I will inscribe your name, in the core of my kindred;" The word, ספר safar, means enumerate, detail; and the word, tavek, תּוך means to cut to the core, sever, to bisect; it is a mathematical term which is the division of a given curve, figure, or interval into two equal parts, the one mirroring the other).

True brothers and sisters will be revealed to you. Walk out life together in Jesus.

Enough said.

Blessings All Around,
