Hebrews 10:2-3 (TPT): For if animal sacrifices could once and for all eliminate sin, they would have ceased to be offered, and the worshipers would have clean consciences. Instead, once was not enough, so by the repetitive sacrifices year after year, the worshipers were continually reminded of their sins, with their hearts still impure.

Hebrews 10:2-3 (Mirror Bible): Had it been possible to present the perfect offering that had the power to successfully remove any trace of a sin-consciousness, then the sacrificial system would surely have ceased to be relevant. 10:3 But in the very repetition of these ritual sacrifices, the awareness of guilt is reinforced rather than removed.

Greetings,

Friday is here…..yay! Another weekend just hours away. But, first, let us walk out this day and ponder the Grace of God.... the Grace that IS Jesus. Before Jesus came and lived and died and lived again and lives in us now, animal sacrifices were used as a means to eliminate sin. Or so people thought at the time.

Let's read today's scripture and think about its message for us ……., "For if animal sacrifices could once and for all eliminate sin, they would have ceased to be offered, and the worshipers would have clean consciences. Instead, once was not enough, so by the repetitive sacrifices year by year..." Sacrifices were not a final solution. They were temporary and physical by nature. They were only forerunners to the Ultimate Sacrifice. Read on…., "the worshipers were continually reminded of their sins, with their hearts still impure." Being reminded of their sins was not spiritually fulfilling. Jesus was (and is) our Ultimate Sacrifice. He took all sin to the cross with Him. He freed us from the bondage of sin. He fulfilled the plan of salvation. It Is Finished! It truly is…..so, live like it, know it, believe it, and rest in it.

Take a moment to meditate. Place your hands over your heart…..Breathe in….You are my Savior……Breathe out…… my Ultimate Sacrifice…….Breathe in……It Is Finished……Breathe out……You are my Salvation.

Friday, here we are, walking in the Finished work of Jesus.

Let's pray……, "Father, help us to know You and to know that Jesus brought about the plan of salvation for all mankind. Bless this day. Protect us and our families. We come to You in the name of Jesus." All together, say, "Amen."

Pray for one another.....

In Jesus,
