Proverbs 15:1 (TPT): A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Greetings,
Wednesday has arrived. Yep, you know Hump Day. Another day to rest in the loving embrace of our Triune God (Father-Son-Spirit). So, here we go….., how are you when it comes to conflict with those around you? If your emotions tend to lean toward anger, what happens when someone vents their anger on you? Well, myself, I am always in control of my emotions. I always respond with kindness when anger is pointed at me! Well, that's not always true….. I sometimes respond with anger in return! I allow my emotions to get the best of me….. how about you? Truthfully? But then there are times when I allow the Spirit of God to give me the wisdom to keep my mouth shut and to respond with kindness and understanding.
Let's read today's scripture together……., "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." From Solomon's words (a very wise man) comes this admonition, to give a gentle response to words of anger. May we attempt to put this wisdom into practice in our daily lives. Respond to anger with a gentle and kind attitude.
Take a moment to meditate. Place your hands over your heart…..Breathe in…..Holy Spirit, You are in me……Breathe out…..help me respond with kindness……Breathe in …..I am aware of Your Presence……Breathe out……Help me to respond to all with gentle answers.
Wednesday, here we are walking in an attitude of gentleness and kindness…….Breathe in…..Breathe out.
Let's pray……, "Father, help us to walk with a spirit of gentleness. Help us to respond to anger with gentle kindness. Bless this day. Protect us and our families. We come to You in the name of Jesus." All together, say, "Amen."
Pray for one another.....
In Jesus,
