LMA Step #9 - DISCIPLINE

Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others (physically, emotionally, or spiritually).

Step 9 is a deeply spiritual process. You are to make direct amends wherever possible to those you have harmed (physically/emotionally/spiritually) except when to do so would injure them or others. Do not overlook this very important phase of your development.

• 1 John 3:17 (TPT): If anyone sees a fellow believer in need and has the means to help him, yet shows no pity and closes his heart against him, how is it even possible that God’s love lives in him?

• 1 John 3:16-17 (Mirror Bible): Love is known in its other-centeredness, just as Jesus laid down His life for us to free His love within us for others. The indwelling love of God compels one to live sensitively aware of people around us; and not to exclude those in need.

Show that God’s love lives in you……help your brothers/sisters by making amends to those you have harmed.
