LMA Principle #6: Learn to Replace Bad Habits with Good Habits
This principle is the “best offense is a good defense” strategy. And it works! This refers to substituting good patterns of behavior for negative actions. Meet with your sponsor/mentor instead of stopping by a bar. Or going to a gym rather than visiting an old using friend. There is no end to helpful replacement activities.
Read Isaiah 1: 16-17 ……“Cease to do evil,…… learn to do good.”……..
Principal 6 shares with us the best offense is a good defense strategy. We are to substitute good healthy, positive habits for the unhealthy, negative behaviors that we may be caught up in. Try it.
1 John 3:7 (TPT): Delightfully loved children, don’t let anyone divert you from this truth. The person who keeps doing what is right proves that he is righteous before God, even as the Messiah is righteous.
1 John 3:7 (Mirror): Little children, do not be led astray by any other opinion; his righteousness mirrors our righteousness and is the source of our actions.
Do what is right. Do not be sidetracked. Stay focused on doing right.
