LMA Principle #3 Take Charge of Your Emotions. Unwise emotional reactions get all of us in trouble a lot of the time. Emotions are wonderful, God givenblessings, they add to life and enhance our enjoyment and provide us with special moments in life. But, they are also frail, fragile things, that can and do at times overwhelm us and lead to faulty, negativedecisions and actions. Read: Proverbs 15:13 (The Passion Translation) Living an Ascended Life 13 A cheerful heart puts a smile on your face, but a broken heart leads to depression. Proverbs 16:32 (The Passion Translation) 32 Do you want to be a mighty warrior? It’s better to be known as one who is patient and slow to anger. Do you want to conquer a city? Rule over your temper before you attempt to rule a city. Proverbs 29:11 (The Passion Translation) 11 You can recognize fools by the way they give full vent to their rage and let their words fly! But the wise bite their tongue and hold back all they could say.
Learn to enjoy your God-given emotions……do not allow them to ‘control’ you and your responses to life….to events…..to God…. It is okay to ‘experience’ your emotions…..but, not at the ‘expense’ of another’s well-being….
James 4:8-10 (TPT) 8 Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting. 9 Feel the pain of your sin, be sorrowful and weep! Let your joking around be turned into mourning and your joy into deep humiliation. 10 Be willing to be made low before the Lord and he will exalt you! Seek to live in a ‘State of Being’ that is closer and closer to God….in ‘Relationship’ …….experience your emotions as God intends…. Enough said….
